Hamilton Apiaries
Our RDBC Field Day will be held on Saturday, June 27, 2015 from 1:00 - 4:00 at Hamilton Apiaries. (Directions below) The topic will be harvesting honey and will include equipment needed, evacuating the bees from honey supers and the extraction process.

queen-bee The Saskatchewan Beekeepers' Association and the Saskatchewan Ministry of Agriculture are pleased to offer the third biennial Queen Rearing Course, held in the Prince Albert area. Instructors include Saskatchewan's Provincial Specialist in Apiculture Geoff Wilson and the Saskatchewan Beekeepers Association’s Technical Adaptation Team. Come and enjoy this one day course which enables participants to experience both theory and practical field experience.

beginnersThe Regina Bee Club, along with the Saskatchewan Beekeepers' Association, are pleased to offer the 4th Annual - 2 day Beginning beekeepers course.

Come and enjoy this two day course which enables participants to experience both theory and practical field experience. Instructors include the Saskatchewan Beekeepers’ Association Technical Adaptation Team and experienced beekeepers from the Regina Bee & District Bee Club. Every one of all experience levels are welcome.

April 28, 2015 6:30 p.m.

Evening will include instruction needed to get you through the first month of having bees. There will be time for Q & A with Geoff Wilson the Provincial Apiculturalist after the instruction session. Subjects being discussed include hiving a package, hiving a nuc, feeding, brood chamber setup, starting a hive with foundation, monitoring a hive for space, monitoring a hive for proper build up.

It is highly recommended all new beekeepers take the SBA Beginner Bee Course being offered June 6th and 7th.

The Regina and District Bee Club will be holding its Annual General Meeting on Saturday March 14, 2014 at the Deer Valley Golf Club. [Google Map here] [Bing Map Here]

REGISTRATION
Applying for membership allows you entry into the AGM, and allows you....to order bees, entry into courses, event discounts, access to updates and news (outside of FB), access to experienced beekeepers, mentor program, drawn comb program, bulk order program, extractor rental, etc. 
PLEASE RSVP by Friday March 6/2015 so we can confirm numbers. We would like to gage who is coming so we can make a great AGM.
Late arrivals welcome still.

If you would like to buy or sell something we'll have a bulletin board of sorts to post on.

Remember that If you are new to beekeeping you can sign up for our annual Introductory Beekeeping Course in May (tentative).
